Pick-up in Antalya Cruise Port or Hotel.We first head to Perge ancient site which is one of the best classical sites of Turkey and important city of ancient Parnphylia, originally settled by the Hittites around 1500 BC. St. Paul visited Perge on his first missionary journey. The theater stage has finely carved marble reliefs, and other carvings from around the city are displayed in the Stadium.Long Colonnaded Street once paved with mosaics and lined with shops,The Agora, Gymnasium.,Roman Baths and Nymphaeum
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
Next proceed to Aspendos which was a major port city in the Roman period with the navigable river nearby.The city was founded by Mopsus in the 13C BC. In the 6th century BC the Lydian King Croesus took Aspendus. After Cyrus’s victory over Croesus in the same century the city became Persian. In the 5th Century BC Aspendus minted its own silver coins. Alexander the Great took over from the Persians in the 4C BC. In the Roman period Aspendus entered into good relations with Rome.Its also known for his best-preserved theater of antiquity with seating for 15.000.The main structure is still being used for large organisations like summer concerts nowadays.Theater's galleries, stage decorations and acoustics all testify to the architects success. Nearby stand the remains of a Basilica, Agora and one of the largest Aqueducts in Anatolia.
Next we will have some free time in Side
and then we head to Kursunlu waterfalls
which is one of the tributaries of the Aksu River and its located in the midst
of a pine forest has a quite exceptional beauty. The countryside around the
water forms a lovely picnic and pleasure spot.
When we conclude the day trip if you request your guide will take you to have
shopping before we return to embarkation port.
